Melanie (Founder)

Born and raised in Germany, Melanie fell in love with the African continent during her first visit to the "real" Africa in 2014 to Rwanda an Burundi. She lost her heart to Africa and it never let her go since then. After numerous travels to different African countries, she decided to quit her well-secured long term job in an international laboratory diagnostics company and moved to Zambia in 2018. She is based in Lusaka and works as Business Manager for a laboratory diagnostics company which is strongly committed to contributing to a healthy Zambia. 

"Africa has taught me so much and it made a better person out of me - I want to give back as much as I can." Melanie is very passionate and committed to make a difference. During her previous volunteering work in an orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya, she had to learn the hard way that she cannot save the world but that each effort - even the smallest one - makes a difference and counts. 

With her background of studies of International Business Administration and long term experience in marketing communications she will mainly take care of marketing & fund raising.
